Request Library Idea Improvements:

1) Remove the Ebook-store icon from menu, make it prominent within the Library app itself. (Its easy to bump this icon / and the menu bar when typing - I like the idea of a hideable menu bar).
2) ICONS for the library. It should be possible to add an icon for a pdf document. It should be possible to take a picture of a particular page to use (then for PDFs and Google books, a person could say that the title page image should be the thumbnail for the Ebook). It'd be beautiful to see a library of book covers, and flip through the books this way.
3) Be able to choose a default starting tag for the library (rather than the whole library) - because of how long it takes to load the library app. I have nearly 500 ebooks (PDFs mostly), since I use this to hold my research articles. Finding ways to speed up this app is a must!

1) I suspect that making the eDGe store in any way less prominent is probably a non-starter because generating revenue through the selling content is probably a critical piece of Entourage's business plan (which is probably why they haven't made it easier to hide or minimize the size of the menu bar).

2) Sounds cool, but wouldn't adding individual book cover icons be in conflict with #3 "make the Library as fast as possible?"

3) I really like the idea of setting the default tag to something other than the entire universe. It would seem to be a relatively easy option to add.

Setting a default tag or remembering the last tag selected is a must. I've got a few hundred PDFs as well.

File copying needs a major speed boost. The Library app currently copies to a class 6 SDHC card 150-200KB/s. File Explorer copies at normal speeds (10-15MB/s)

Backups of the library were very slow last I tried.

I strongly support (3) and would also support any options for being able to add 'shortcuts' for tags to the home screen. I also use the eDGe to store a large number of research articles, and anything that could be done to speed up the library would be very welcome.

i hope they actually implement(3). that would make things a lot less bloody...
