pwd protect documents and journals
It would be nice to have the ability to set passwords on certain documents and journals. Opening these types of documents would then be restricted.

And pwd protect the netbook side too. I use this primarily for busn and this isn't sitting well with corp. There are work arounds where certain documents and journals spend as little time as possible on the edge.

The option to require a password on boot and when "waking" would be great.

Borisb,
That is a good point about Android being ment for cell phones, however the Android cell phones do have the ability to password protect (i.e. the patern unlock). Something like this could easily be added at least to the LCD side. |

Unlock Pattern Toggle app
Someone mentioned the UnlockPattern Toggle app from slideme https://slideme.org/application/unlockpattern-toggle in a previous post, as an option to enabling that function.

thanks, i'll check those links out. I'm not trying to be overly critical and I am a fan of the eDGe. Granted, it's pretty aggressive and a great idea to combine a netbook with an e-reader and then have the two communicate with each other, but it certainly has a long way to go. We can't have it both ways. Example: We can't access the Android marketplace because the eDGE isn't a cell phone. We don't have any device security out-of-the-box because Android is technically for cell phones and not netbooks. Huh? entourage picked Android and they need to deliver

I agree
I agree that apps for the Edge are important; as entourage staff learn what we lack I hope those needs are addressed quickly. I don't regret the edge purchase - yet - but as I see other products with things that I need I am a bit thoughtful.
