Is there a way to connect to a beamer with the Edge?

I usually make presentations in pdf with my laptop. The typical connection from a laptop to a beamer is not present in the Edge.

Is there a way I could connect my Edge to a beamer? Of course, I understand that this depends quite a lot on which connections the beamer has. But I am not expert in beamers. For example, does anybody know if a USB connection would be feasible?

I assume by 'beamer' you are referring to a video projector?

If so, here is a thread discussing this:
http://www.entourageedge.com/forums/...up-a-projector

The short answer is that there is currently no support for this in Android and therefore not on the eDGe.

HEH..when i saw "Beamer", I was thinking of the car. Maybe bluetooth connection to the car???

Thank you for the answer. Yes, I was referring to a video projector. What a pity!

heheh.. I hear BMW's onboard computer is pretty sophisticated, maybe it can run VNC server over WiFi. In that case, connecting with the eDGe would be a breeze. Would give "distracted driving" a whole new meaning though...

Maybe I am naive, but many cars have nowadays a USB port. One could link the Edge with the car through the USB port and, at least, reproduce music, right?

To play music on your car speakers all you need is an audio input jack (for MP3/ipod) on your car and you can hook up the eDGe via a wire from the headphones jack.

My 2002 Mercedes oddly enough only has a CASSETTE player, so I stuck one of those tape-to-cd connectors into the cassette slot and the other end plugs right into my ipod/iphone and yes my Entourage Edge too

does ALL audio work in the car?

I'm happy to hear that I can connect an eDGe into my car's MP3 jack. Please confirm for me that any audio the eDGe is playing will come through the car's speakers? If I record audio onto it, or load a movie file, that will play too?

My ipod (gone now) would only play audio files when connected to my car, as opposed to the audio from videos. (Then again I never tested it with the MP3 jack, only the ipod jack. This might have been a user error.)

Thanks! (I'm getting my eDGe in May, and I'm still doing research about it's functionalities.)
