Roadsync versus Touchdown?
Has anyone tried out both and compared the two?
Does Roadsync work on the edge (fullscreen?) I would assume Roadsync has the better integration, being from the same maker as documents to go. But if it doesnt work fullscreen, its a nogo. |

Obviously, I'm hugely biased toward TouchDown, but we integrate with Docs to Go as well as anything else, mostly because it's a viewer. We call the viewer, they call the viewer. The primary difference is that TouchDown won't get you locked out of your Exchange server as an unsupported device. /geeky-nerd stuff Android does not use an encrypted file system, so if the Exchange server is enforcing the encryption at-rest policy on the device, the client has two choices, grab the attachment and park it on the device unencrypted or not download the attachment at all. The former causes IT Security types to flip out and ban everything-android because it's "unsecure". The latter stinks if you're trying to get work done. Next week, we will be releasing the new version of TouchDown, which will now have full encryption for Exchange data on the SD card. (the beta is available now if you want to live on the eDGe. (oo...sorry, bad pun) PM me if you want the link to the beta. |
