The first three books in this Scottish writer's Rhona MacLeod forensic science series are self-published. The rest of the series is published by Hodder so cost a little more. Normally the first three are $2.99, so $.99 may be a sale/temporary price. All three available at Amazon and Smashwords; first one at B&N for $.99, second $2.99. Sony has the first two for $2.99.

I've read the first two and it looks like a promising series. Not a lot of forensic detail, which could be good or bad, depending on your taste. lol
