Broken email!
![]() Hi, I un-rooted my NC. It was rooted with auto-nooter 1.1. I did all the deregistering and erasing, interupted the restart 8 times to get it back to stock, etc. Then I updated to the 1.2 software, redownloaded my books, and downloaded some apps. However, when I went to use the email app, I can't sign in. I put in my email name and password and then it says "checking incoming server settings" and then I get an error message that says "Setup Could Not Finish. Unable to open connection to server." I'm not really sure what is going on, but I have no trouble downloading apps or browsing the internet so I know my wifi is working just fine. I spent 1 hour on the phone with Nook support and they had me resetting the device, deregistering, reregistering, etc (yes, I neglected to mention to them that I had previously rooted my nook ). Anyway, does anyone have any ideas as to how to get it working? Does anyone know what port gmail is supposed to be using? My Nook defaulted to 143 but the tech support said it should be 993.Thanks! |
