Tell us where in the world you are located - it matters. Thanks!

As it says you use Kindle. Then simply log into your regular Kindle account and search for the newspaper/magazine you wish to subscribe to and proceed as you would for an e-book.

Hi, hraith! Welcome to MobileRead.

With Kindle, you simply use your existing Kindle account. Note, however, that if you are NOT in the US, and you want it delivered via WhisperNet, you will get charged for the download in addition to the price of the subscription. .

Not strictly true. In many countries you are not charged for using WhisperNet if you have the international version, although US version holders may be charged in those countries.

This page will let you know where you are charged or not http://www.amazon.com/gp/help/custom...deId=200387080

Thanks for all your comments.
I am living in Australia (Perth). Here I have no problems with my Kindle and also not with 3G. I know that I can purchase newspapers and magazines via the Kindle Store. But via Calibre News there are lots of newspapers available for free. These I normally transfer to Mobi, store them on hard disk and load these directly to my Kindle via USB. In Calibre News there are German magazines offered (e.g. Der Spiegel) which are not free and which are not available via Kindle Store. I would like to know how to purchase these via Calibre. I assume I must have an account with Calibre, but how? How can I find out the costs of such magazines which are not free?

Calibre is downloading from the magazine web site, so I imagine the way it works is that you'd need to open an account on the magazine web site, and then supply the logon credentials to Calibre. But why don't you ask on the Calibre forum? You'd be a lot more likely to get an answer there.

They say nothing in life comes without a price, but in this case charging for online content I would agree would be a largely unpopular move.
