Question Can kindle browser be ported to other device?

I am looking for detail on the kindle browser?
Can it be ported to other device?
Can it run in a limited to OCAP profile?

The Kindle uses the Webkit browser IIRC.

Kindle with cdc/pbp limited rendering?

It is webkit based.

I have read somewhere Kindle run in Java on
JSR-217 Personal Basis Profile 1.1.

I have a device with limited capabilities, no midp apis are available.
I only have cdc/pp/pbp, that means basic awt...

I don't want to rewrite a rendering layer so if kindle did it, I would like to reuse that layer.

Is the code open source, or does anyone have a contact with kindle/amazon?

Thank you
Am I missing something here?

The kindle renders webpages via browserd, a closed source ARM binary that uses libwebkit. It printes pages directly to the framebuffer. The java program just makes a blank screen for browserd to use.
