Problems retrieving Metadata

For the last few days I have had problems trying to download metadata.

Sometimes I get a hit with the cover but am not getting any comments being retrieved.

I am using:

Windows Vista
Calibre 0.7.57 + Version 0.8

I have a number of plugins installed including:-

Kindle Collections
Good Reads Metadata
Manage Series
Synch Books
Internet Lookup
Get Books
Quality Check
Plugin Updater

All my plugins are their current version.

When I do a "Get Metadata" Ctrl+D I get a generic failure message:-

The Long Quiche Goodbye (Failed metadata)


If I Edit Metadata Individually and open the item and select Get Metadata I get a much more complex error message:-

So basically I unticked the button that said "Convert all downloaded comments to plain text" and the problem was fixed.

Yes, and it has already been reported, twice, and fixed for the next release.
