Nook Color acts very strange when charging.

Does anyone know if B&N is looking into the problem of double-type and strange screen calibration issues when the NC is charging?

I rarely see anyone complain about this, yet there are times when I need to use it when it's plugged in, and it is really difficult to get anything done when it acts like this.

There was discussion about this on xda. Most people returned for another one that didn't do the same thing.

Yes, there is a thread here as well. The suggestion is to return it. Some haven't done so and are hoping a firmware update addresses this. I've never experienced it, so I tell people to exchange it.

Aw Shoot. I have a scuff in the upper left corner of the NC, I would think they'll probably frown on that when I try to exchange it.

This problem is caused by the charger (search the B&N Nook Color board for the info). If you phone B&N support it should be a known problem for them and they will replace your charger.

Customer Support doesn't know anything about this problem & neither do the stores. At least that's how the act.

They typically won't tell us much at the stores until they determine what the problem is and if it's a widespread problem. I hadn't heard about it until coming onto the boards and have never seen it. :\

My Nook color is acting up in this way, and has since I got it about 2 weeks ago. It also freezes when it becomes partially charged. I think I will try to return it.
