I wonder, what you plan for version 1.0.0 if THIS feature set "only" warrants ZERO[point]something release number ;-)

Perhaps you should adjust the numbering the way Richard Stallman made jump from Emacs 1.12 to version 13 when he realized there would never be another increase in major number, so he dropped leading '1'.

Perhaps this should be called version 8.0 ;-)

Typically there's one major upgrade a year independent of the minor version number, so calibre should reach 1.0 in a couple of years

Love the new update, esp the way metadata and book covers now work.
Get books would be my most used new feature, except it does not have any of the websites I use and I buy books every week. Would you please consider adding at least someof the following? Fictionwise, Books on Board, Samhain, AllRomance, Totalebound, Dreamspinner, LooseID, MLR...
Thanks for all the work you do on this. I have spent many, many hours loading all my books on Calibre and look forward to each new update.
