For Kindle Readers Outside of North America
Dying Gasp, the third book in my Chief Inspector Mario Silva series is now available, on Kindle, to readers in most countries outside of North America.
And at a third of the price that readers in the US and Canada have to pay for it. On Amazon UK, you'll find it here: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Dying-Chief-...6773199&sr=1-3 In other countries, it isn't so easy, because the URL varies depending upon where you are. The best way to get there is simply to go to Amazon.com and search the title. The books are police procedurals set in Brazil, and you can read samples on my website: http://www.leightongage.com All of them, without exception, have received considerable critical acclaim. Here are a few samples of what reviewers have had to say: An outstanding series…South America’s Kurt Wallander – Booklist (starred review) Top notch…controversial and entirely absorbing – New York Times (for Blood of the Wicked) Irresistible – New York Times (for Every Bitter Thing) First-rate mystery – Mystery Scene Magazine Masterful – Toronto Globe and Mail Compelling – The Boston Globe Fascinating, complex and riveting – Florida Sun Sentinel A powerful political thriller...gripping crime fiction – Arizona Star Realistic characters that the reader can care about – Detroit Free Press Intelligent and subtle…suspenseful and sophisticated – Publisher’s Weekly Highly recommended – Library Journal (starred review) Blurring the distinction between literary fiction and crime fiction, this is a book that…needs to be read - Sherbroke Herald (Quebec, CA) Colorful characters and crackling banter - Kirkus Reviews Non-stop plots and characters that live and breathe – Genreview A cut above most of the mystery books on the market – Mostly Fiction First rate, descriptive and atmospheric – Mysterious Reviews A page turner… a great example of classic good-versus-evil storytelling – School Library Journal Atmospheric and suspenseful as all get out, Gage has written another wonderful book – Crimespree Magazine Guaranteed to entertain even the most discerning fans of the genre… terrific writing from Leighton Gage – Bookloons Fast pace, tight plotting and well-drawn characters…highly recommended – Spinetingler Magazine Anyone who can combine horror and humor between book covers as deftly as Gage does deserves close attention – January Magazine A great example of how a talented writer uses the mystery novel to describe a society – Books and Authors Please check out my books. I hope you'll find yourself agreeing with the American reviewers. |
