OK...my first post. I am enthusiastic about ebooks and ebook readers. I started with a Sony a couple of years ago but have passed that along and now my perusal device of choice is a Kindle 3. I also read a little on my iPad, but I much prefer the reading experience that comes with e-ink and nice interface firmware (even if there is an app for that).

I just finished several Bernard Cornwell books and greatly enjoyed them (especially Agincourt) but my usual preference is mysteries and I am looking for a new series. Randy Wayne White cannot write them fast enough for me. I also like Carl Hiaasen's books for all their wackiness.

I found Mobile Read a few months ago and greatly appreciate this wonderful resource and the helpful community that makes it a great place to spend some time.

Hi and welcome to MobileRead. If you are looking for authors similar to White and Hiaasen, try Literature Map site here http://www.literature-map.com/.

You enter an author's name, hit return and a window opens with your author's name in the center and similar authors arranged around him. The closer another author is to the center the more like your chosen author he or she is.
