Does this happen to your Nook Color?

Hi sometimes my Nook automatically shuts down even if I'm in the middle of flipping pages or doing something.

the battery is still ok and i could press the button and it restarts again but its troublesome and frustrating

does this happen to your nook too or should i return it/change my nook?

It has never happened to my Color Nook. I've only had it a few weeks, so I haven't used it all that long, but it never did it during this time.

I've had a Classic one for about 6 months and use it constantly for reading books, and it has never done that either. I think you should exchange it for a new one, if possible.

I haven't encountered that issue. Had mine since late November. It's interesting that it shuts down and doesn't reboot automatically.

no, I would return , I was going to suggest checking your screen timeout settings but if it's timing out even during an "action" then it's a lemon.

return and swap out for a new one.

Before you return it , just be sure that you haven't been accidentally pressing the power button on the upper left side of the Nook. It is really easy to do that and a brief push of it would cause the exact thing you are describing.

I have, it's a known issue, but does not happen to everybody. On stock nooks few people have reported this problem, but on rooted nooks this seems to happen to much more people. For me I really noticed it after I rooted my device. Is your nook rooted?

After I rooted my device my nook would reboot every 1-2 days.

When I moved to nookie(Froyo) it would happen every 2-3 days.

However now that I'm on CM7(Gingerbread) I've not seen the problem.

No issues with page-flip shutting down for me, before and after rooting.
