Networking Win7 and Ubuntu
I have Calibre installed on a Win7 pc which contains the library and want to access the same library via Ubuntu on the same network. I can see the Calibre ebook folders from the Ubuntu machine in the file manager but cannot point the Calibre installation on the Ubuntu to the same network location.
How do you set it up? Thanks. |

Mount the CIFS/SMB share on your filesystem somewhere with read/write permissions and point calibre in Ubuntu to the mounted location?

![]() Only one DB access is permitted. You must shut down Calibre on the W7 machine if you are going to use it on any other machine. If you only want to access books, you might consider running the the Content server on the Host and use a browser on all others. I only access a common library from a dual boot system YMMV with a SMB share |
