This sounds great, but will the books be available at that price outside the USA? This has not always been the case with Sourcebooks' other special offers.

Excellent! Thanks! I see Kobo has nine titles at $9.39; hopefully those will be on sale. If not, I guess it's Amazon or B&N.

Dang it, dang it, DANG IT.

Figured I better read Cotillion (freebie a few months back) then decide I don't like Heyer so I could happily pass up this sale. It seemed like a good plan.

Anyhow, I've got 5 picked out: Sylvester, The Nonesuch, Frederica, False Colours & Black Sheep. Still in my TBR pile is The Grand Sophie and Footsteps in the Dark.

Any titles that should not be missed?

Devil's Cub is my favorite Heyer book. It's book two in the Alastair Trilogy.
Book 1 is These Old Shades & Book 3 is An Infamous Army

Lol - I was thinking the same thing! I'm super-excited about this sale but truth is I've yet to read anything by her. I have Cotillion and Footsteps in the Dark that I got free, and I bought The Grand Sophy a couple months back.

I promised myself I won't buy more than 10 so recommendations would very appreciated.

I have These Old Shades and Devils Cub on my "maybe" (oh let's face it "PROBABLY") list. Also added Venetia.

Where did you get Cotillion and Footsteps in the Dark for free? Was it Sourcebooks?

I got one of Heyer's books, The Black Moth, free from www.girlebooks.com, which is a wonderful site. One of their reviewers claims These Old Shades changes the names and some of the details but carries on essentially the same characters from The Black Moth, Heyer's first book.

I like all the books Sourcebooks lists as Regencies except Beauvallet (not a Regency), Cousin Kate, and The Reluctant Widow. I've only read a few of the mysteries. In the Historical section on Sourcebooks don't miss An Infamous Army (already mentioned by Blossom).

My all-time favorite is The Masqueraders (not a Regency), or whichever book I've forgotten enough to enjoy reading again.

Footsteps in the Dark, one of Heyer's 12 mysteries, was free within the last month.

These are the books I'll have my eye on:

Inspector Hannasyde:
Death in the Stocks (1935) aka Merely Murder
Behold, Here's Poison (1936)
They Found Him Dead (1937)
A Blunt Instrument (1938)

Inspector Hemingway:
No Wind of Blame (1939)
Envious Casca (1941)
Duplicate Death (1951)
Detection Unlimited (1953)

Four stand alone novels:
Footsteps in The Dark (1932)
Why Shoot a Butler? (1933
The Unfinished Clue (1934)
Penhallow (1942)

I think I'll concentrate on the mysteries also and get all of the above (except for Footsteps in the Dark). I'll also get the reader companion, Georgette Heyer's Regency World. That's 12 in all, and I'm not getting any more *fingers crossed very tightly*
