Librarian and Kindle lover
Hello Mobile Readers,
I found this site while shopping for my first e-reader and, gosh, am I glad that I did! I read lots of reviews about Kindle vs Kobo vs Nook. I wasn't impressed with the Nook, the Kobo seemed nice and it would let me read library books. As a librarian, that's important to me. I don't want to buy all my books! Anyhow, I read a comment on MR to the effect that if one is even slightly savvy with technology, one can get library books on one's Kindle. After reading that, I tried the K3 at Best Buy, loved it, bought it. That was three months ago and I've been thrilled ever since. I followed Apprentice Alf's guidelines, then used Calibre to reformat library books and am now reading them on my Kindle. I've also downloaded some of the public domain books from MR. This site is amazing! I will try to give back and share what little knowledge I have. |
