hi have used calibre for the last few months with no problems...
now when i try to enter into a book on calibre i get the message no application is associated with the specific file for this operation

Does anyone have any ideas how to fix this

What is the books format?
Calibre relies on external viewers for some (non-supported) formats or you have disabled the "use internal viewer" for that format in the Preferences: Behavior section

You didn't give us any information to go on, OS, Calibre version, complete error message, exactly what you do to get this error message, what works, what doesn't work etc.... Expand on your error and we might be able to help. But I'm relatively sure this is not a calibre problem but a problem with your OS. Try searching Google for the error.
