Article View in magazines
Ok so when I was navigating through mens fitness I noticed that "article view" works fine on some pages.... but then on other pages it has "article view" with an arrow next to it (i thought this indicated multiple articles on the page) but it doesn't let me click it? I try and hit it and nothing happens. Article view only seems to work on the page with one article, but whenever the arrow is next to it it doesn't work. What does that arrow mean? Am I missing something? Thanks for the help!

I don't know what it means but I do believe that there is a way for you to read them in article view. Use one that works to open up the article view and then turn those pages, you should be able to read everything marked with an arrow in article view that way (it worked for the one issue of National Geographic that I have but I haven't tried it with any other magazine yet.)

Ericejs, I think maybe it is just something wrong with your particular magazine issue and it was poorly formatted by the publisher. The magazines that I have work as expected (sorry, I don't have Men's Fitness to test for you). On a page that has a single article, you will see just a plain Article View label. On a page that has multiple articles, you will see the Article View label plus an arrow. When I click on the arrow in my magazines, it shows a drop-down list of the articles on the page and then I can select which one I want to view. It is just like how when you are on the Home Screen and you click the More button in the upper right corner then you see a drop-down list of files to open.
Since it is not working for that particular magazine, Selcien has proposed a good workaround. Open a single page article in "article view" and then scroll left or right in the "article view" window to advance forward and backwards. Hopefully that works. |

I'm inclined to think that the problem isn't the magazine as I know for sure that the article view with an arrow did not work in my November issue of National Geographic. I tried it again after reading what it's supposed to do, and now it works fine.

I suspect that there might be quite a few magazines initially offered for the NC that will be incorrectly set-up/formatted, and so won't properly work in article view. Hopefully it won't be many... and at least we have the advantage of the trial period to check out a magazine first, then vote with our wallets.

reset the nook
Seems like if you restart the nook, the article view works for multiple articles.

The arrow (pointing down, right?) should indicate multiple articles for that page, in a dropdown menu, and you tap to select the one you want. If you're seeing the arrow, but there are no articles (or only one article), it is probably a problem with the publisher's file.
