My cat likes my eReader
LOL. My tortoiseshell cat, Cinder, approves of eReading. There is more room in my lap, especially as compared to a big hardcover, and I can easily read with my Kobo in one hand and the other is free to pet her.

My cat's a happy guy, too! --most of the time. He's still not sure he likes it when I use him to prop up my Kindle. :\

Mine used to try to sit on the book to get it out of my attention, but isn't envious of the reader for some unknown reason. Maybe you are right and it is the one hand free for stroking that makes all the difference. I will ask her.

I had to let my cats "claim" my Kindle - rub their faces on the cover to get their scent on it - then they were fine. I still can't prop my DXG on a cat back yet though.

When not in their basket (strategically positioned in front of the radiator), my 2 are quite happy to be used as a Kindle rest too

Ditto - my cat loves my Nook as a cheek-scratching tool, will allow me to rest it on her back, and appreciates that I'm able to give her better belly-rubs than when I hold paper books. She still periodically tries to block my view of the page, however; that behavior is unchanged from p-book days.

My cat doesn't seem very interested in my Kindle, but she does enjoy walking over the keyboard of my laptop when I'm trying to type something.

My cats will either lay on whatever I just used (book, lappy, etc) in hopes of getting some extra snuggles when I resume the activity, or try to come between me and my screen. It's pretty much like this - http://theoatmeal.com/comics/cat_vs_internet - but with greater success, and me not at the desktop.

My kitty likes turning pages for me with her tail. Not when I want to have a page turned or in the direction I want it turned though. One of the benefits of the Sony touch screen.
![]() When she's really happy and swishing her tail a lot I have to try to hold on to it. Which of course makes her swish it all the faster when I let go! |
