Dictionary Support

I purchased the Concise Oxford English dictionary.

Placed it in the iLiad's main memory Books directory.

The dictionary loads, and works within itself.

However, it does not look up words in books that I have purchased from mobipocket.com.

My understanding is I toggle on the search icon (a small, open book with a magnifying glass on it) while reading a book, then click on the word I want.

My search icon is greyed out, so I cannot activate it.

It is as if the MobiPocket software does not know I have a dictionary installed, or that the book I am reading does not allow for dictionary searches (is there such a thing?). I tried two different books

I rebooted my iLiad. Same effect.

Any ideas?

Not in the Books directory. Place it in the Mobipocket directory.

Yup.

I just tried that, and was going to post that I figured it out.

This should be better documented.

Thanks for the post though.

Now that MobiPocket has dictionary support, does this mean it also hyphenates as well?
