I'm amused by all the fanboy blogs calling "foul". They don't refute the 52% more websites load faster, they say "it's only by a second or two so it really doesn't make a difference to the user experience".

I call BS! Faster is faster!

That's my biggest complaint about my Kindle (and other eInk devices) page turns are okay but the lack of speed for everything is downright annoying.

Android Is a mobile operating system based on a modified version of Linux kernel:

The software stack and apps are written in Java.

I hate Java.

... It could run on several Os but painfully slow. C++ is better.

Ah but: Libraries written inC includethe surface manager, OpenCore [21] media framework, SQLite relational database management system, OpenGL ES 2.0 3D graphics API, WebKit layout engine, SGL graphics engine, SSL, and Bionic libc. The Android operating system consistsof 12 million lines of code including 3 million lines of XML, 2.8 million lines of C, 2.1 million lines of Java, and 1.75 million lines of C++. [22]

You missed my point. The core, the kernel, is based on Linux. No Kernel, no apps.
