Problems Tweeting after reading

I've got the latest firmware which allows you to tweet a review once you've finished reading a book.
The only problem I have, is that this doesn't work with non-Kindle books. I've got some .mobi books (which I've converted from .epub)

The sharing function appears, and I get the "message shared" popup - but nothing appears on Twitter.

I know that I'm OAuth'd correctly because other - Kindle bought books - allow me to share.

Is this just a limitation of the Kindle? Is there any way around it?

According to Amazons web site you can only rate Kindle books purchased from the Kindle Store.

I had a similar problem with sending highlights from books I've converted from epub to mobi. The highlights show up on facebook as "Shared from a personal document".

The book title showed up correctly once though, have you checked out your books metadata to make sure its up to snuff?

This is how Amazon always intended non-Amazon content to appear when sharing highlights. If you didn't buy it from them... they assume it's a personal document. No cover art. Kinda sucky, but there you have it.

In fact... if you alter your side-loaded, non-Amazon content to enable syncing of the "Furthest Read Page", you very well may break your ability to share highlights or rate that same non-Amazon content. Either way, sharing highlights or ranking non-Amazon content will always appear as a Personal Document (with no pretty coverart) -- or it won't work at all depending on how you alter your mobi's (ASIN & CDEType).
