Do I have a Bad Kindle??

Hello all
I would like to pose this question to those who have or have had both the K2 and K3. The screen on my K3 is not much different than my K2. Is this normal. Sometimes I think its worse! Does it depend on the book?? The text looks fuzzy.

Fuzzy text is definitely not a good sign. Did you just buy it? Calling costumer service is the first thing I would do. They might send you a new one. Sorry to hear about the trouble!

The text should be sharp. unless what you are reading is a scanned page and the scanner was not in focus.

And what about web browsing, its really fuzzy while visiting this board from my K3.

If you can take it back for a exchange, And test the newer one before you leave the store.

Keep in mind that the K3 has just slightly better(darker) black than the K2, and pretty much the same "white". You might not see the differences in certain lighting condition(example:dark places). K3 should definitely not look worse though.
Make sure that when you compare them, swap their position around, tiny bit of difference in angle/lighting can make a big difference for the perceived clarity of the screen.

the build quality of kindles doesn't seem to be that good. I have a problem with mine also, not the screen though...the plastic in the upper right of the inside edge is gnarled a bit on mine. It's not enough to return it though.

Well guys, i just returned from Target with my new kindle and--- it is MUCH better than the first! Glad I posed the question to the group instead of just accepting it! The text would be clear, but when I turn the pages they would get fuzzy. But not so with this one! There was quite a bit of ghosting on the first kindle. i do see a tad bit of ghosting on the replacement, but not as much. I told the guy I didn't want the one in the front again....give me the second from the last box! and you know what, when I went to the browser, unlike the first K3, this one has mobile versions of gmail, yahoo and a few other. (struggling to remember the other sites...)

I was just wondering what a bad kindle was like ...

Doesn't play well with others?
Drinks from the toilet?
Or reads books TTS in pig Latin?
