Enhancement?

The 'Creating a "new" library' function seems a bit awkward. If I want to create a library, I first need to go to the directory and create an empty folder, than return to Calibre and 'specify' that folder. Couldn't the code be re-written such that if I specified a non-existent folder (library, if you will), Calibre would simply create that folder and continue?

Just asking.

Thanks

You can right click on the folder list and create a new folder right there.

I must be missing something here....or am too old to see it. I can't find a folder list, within calibre, that I can right click on!

see that littl button at the end of the "new location" line?
That brings up the (explorer type) list, that allows selection.. If the (sub-)folder does not exist atthe location, you can right-click or use the 'make new folder' button (which seems to move around on different versions of Windows )
(BTW this is standard Windows operation, you can sort, create and even sometimes re-name in the add-file/folder window)

To the right of the input field where you select the new location, there's a little button. Click on that, and a new dialog opens where you can browse to the new library location. That dialog can create new folders by right-clicking.

Edit: Note to self: Don't just open a thread, go brew a tea, and then come back and answer without refreshing.
