Authors like Koontz, Patterson, Krentz, Grimes and Quick

Hi all, I need some recommendations on books to add to my kindle. Similar authors/genres of above title would be greatly appreciated as I've have/read all of their books to date. in advance.

What is it you like about Krentz/Quick? Is it the romantic suspense, with generally strong females and alpha males? Is it the paranormal aspects, without a single vampire or werewolf?

I like the romance of course, but the mystery and paranormal aspects also. The wicked humor is a plus.

You could check out Literature Map. You input an author's name and it generates a map of other writers who are very similar or farther away.

Stieg Larsson, is on the vintage crime side but the female character is really strong and completely out of normal standard.

Have you tried Nalini Singh's "Psy/Changeling" books (first book was...Slave to Sensation). A little less suspenseful, but I really enjoy them.

You might find Suzanne Brockman's SEAL books similar in terms of the suspense to romance ratio, but no paranormal. I don't remember about the humor - I gave up on the series after about 10 or so.

You might try specific Nora Roberts' books (Birthright, Tribute, Angel Falls, The Search). She's usually got one standalone romantic suspense released each year. She also usually has a trilogy of some kind out each year, but they'd be stronger on the romance angle. I love her "In Death" mysteries (released under her J. D. Robb pseudonym). The first one was Naked in Death.

Elizabeth Lowell had a trilogy in the 90s I liked - first one was Amber Beach, then Jade Island, then Pearl Cove (my favorite),...oops, then a fourth, Midnight in Ruby Bayou (didn't like that one as much, so forgot about it).

Did you know Krentz/Quick also writes books set in the future on another planet under the name Jayne Castle? They have the same humor/mystery/romance to them as her Krentz/Quick novels.

I know I'm missing some names, maybe I'll think of them later...?
