Getting ISBN from PDF book

Is it possible to get the ISBN from a PDF book (usually labeled ISBN: xxxxxx) and then get the metadata for it as well automatically. It takes alot of time to open the book and cut and paste the ISBN into the iSBN field before getting metadata?

There are atleast 2 scripts available that try to scrape the ISBN number from the PDF file and rename the file to its isbn number. You can then import the ebooks into Calibre and do bulk update on the imported books.
Look for isbn.ps1 and the other is by me and that is a bash script that needs quite a bit of work beforehand.
