Saying hello....
Well, just to follow the friendly suggestion: hello! I ended up here via a google search for kindle forums, as I got a kindle for my birthday. What I'm looking for at the moment is 1) a way of copying text easily from say, an index at the back of a book, so that I can quickly do a search for copied terms; 2) some nifty PC-based (read: Windoz) that would enable me to manage the content on my kindle in the same manner as MS ActiveSync does for my PDA. I'll be looking for these issues in the FAQ area; if somebody wants to beat me to it, however, feel free!!

The Kindles are great things but make sure that you use the things that they really excell at: 1) The search function - mine does not have any search function at all; 2) the customization features - you can put your name it yours in case yout loose it, I can do nothing of the sort.
