I tried to make sure this wasn't already posted, so I hope this isn't a duplicate...

I got an email today with a one-use coupon code for 20% off (excluding the Agency 5 cartel, etc.)

Coupon code: 20OFFFEB11

Terms: Terms and conditions: Code good for 20% discount on one (1) eBook download from Reader™ Store ("Reader Store"). Code not valid for eBooks from certain publishers. It's one of the things that really puts me off Sony - they don't give UK people anything - no, hang on, they DID give away 3 freebie chapters of a couple of books at Xmas! Mustn't be greedy, now!! And then it was a real pain to download as it had to be unzipped first even though it was only about 15 pages long.

Seriously, I would think about getting a Kindle next time as at least you could look forward to getting some freebies from Amazon, without feeling like a child with his face pressed up against the window of the sweetshop!!!

My condolences. Can you at least get freebies from Kobo? I know they probably don't have nearly as many for the UK as they do for North America, but I imagine that at least the Harlequins and maybe some of the Christian fiction might be available worldwide.

Also, thanks OP for sharing the coupon! I've been putting off buying a particular book for awhile because I wasn't sure if it would pop up cheaper elsewhere, but it seems to still have the lowest current price at Sony and is discount-eligible, so now I can pick it up.

Just join the Singapore Library. It is for free and they have tenthousends of epub (and mobi. btw) books available. Lending time is 21 days. They have a thread about it here.

You can also check through Inkmesh for freebies.

Or do the deDRM thingy and get Amazons and B&N freebies, too.
