What I have been observing (since last year.)
You want the perfect gadget? Just the perfect to fit your needs? There is no such gadget yet. As I have been observing and waiting for a perfect gadget, these are some things summarised:

Legend: "O = just satisfactory."


The screen column is variable, different screens have different speciality at their best: e-ink, capacitive touch, multitouch, etc.
There should be device at least satisfying one of three groups in last 3 columns. What are your thoughts?

I have always said that there is no one best reader for all readers. That said I recommend several readers that are not on your list for different types of readers. If you want simplicity of access to your books buy a Kobo. If you want low cost buy an Aluratek Libra Pro or a smart phone reader (costs $0 for the reader). If you want to read any format that you come across buy a Jet Book Lite. If you want to read foreign langeuges buy a Bookeen. None of these considerations are on your list.
