You can actually download the first 10 or so pages free in the Kindle Sample option. It gives a great taste of what the book is like.
And yes, Rupert & Me is available to read for free at rupertandmecomic.com. "Tales From Under the Desk" collects the first 24 or so strips(give or take. This isn't a strip for strip collection.). These strips are completely redrawn and, in some cases, rewritten. These particular versions of the strips will not be appearing at the website for the foreseeable future. Plus, with the Kindle book you don't have to sit in front of your computer to read it! |

It sounds moderately cool. Too bad it's not available for my reader and apparently not available without DRM ... and the author talks about himself in the third person, which is a bit creepy.
