This is the kind of issue that makes my eyes glaze over!

As a consumer, I can see this will change how I receive and probably pay for other people's intellectual output.

As a photographer who has received payment for effort though on a modest scale, I can see this probably has long term implications for me personally.

But I'll be damned if I can figure out which side of this issue will benefit ME the most. As a consumer, I will probably pay whoever has the ability to make me pay, or I will choose not to consume whatever I find so costly.

As a producer? Well, my dog is in the hunt, but he has never been all that effective as a hunter; more of a house pet with pretentions really. So I will likely live by whatever rules eventually shake out from this.

I shrug my shoulders. Not out of apathy, but more out of total befuddlement.

Using a home theater PC connected to your TV makes all of this irrelevant really, you can watch whatever content you want, CATV or Internet is just a click away...

If you have the bandwidth and are not geographically restricted.

Exactly right, and even without the home system, both the TV we just bought and the Blu Ray player came loaded with built in connectivity to Netflix, YouTube, hulu, and over a dozen other providers between them. I mean really, how much content do you need?! I can't watch all the things I'd like to watch as it is, and I spend too much time in front of the stupid thing anyway?

I realize it is all about advertising and the money they get from it but really, too much is too much!!

True, but both of those will still apply to Google TV as well.
