Hello everyone - found the site by accident !

I've just read an old thread about us here in the UK buying, or accessing free, ebooks from the States.

Any new comments about things ? I would very much like to buy from the US, but would need, if possible, some kindly soul to take pity on me and, S-L-O-W-L-Y... tell me how to do it !
I am a proud owner of a PRS 650, and am delighted with it, but - you guessed it - far from delighted with Sony support, service, and just about everything else.
Incidentally, if you want to try out what must be one of the slopwest sites in the world, explore the UK MySony site ! Cor blimey.......

I am a tech-idiot, I freely confess it, but do try. Thanks to my son, and some experts on the UK Sony Forum, I am now happy-ish with downloading, but still have problems ocassionally. The software's rubbish, I know that ! And surely we are the people Sony should be thinking of to get market share.
Here in the UK they seem to have surrendered to Kindle.

There are some ebook sellers in the US from where you can buy books - See Dreams' links in my signature line - Beware the problem of 'geographical restriction' though ... I often buy through Fictionwise (multiformat) - paypal or credit card, both accepted with a UK address.
