Font scaling

Apple's iBookstore has rejected a submission because " Depending on the font size, there are text at the bottom of the page that gets cut off and continues on the next page. "

Any idea where the problem might be?

Also, I've noticed that as I hit "larger font" repeatedly, letters begin to overlap adjacent letters and lines in the paragraph until they are completely distorted. Is that expected?

You should ask in the epub forum for detailed help, generally speaking this will be because you use non reflowable markup in your book.
