While I wait the arrival of my new Kindle

Hi

I am patiently awaiting the arrival of my new Kindle. I have the Sony prs505 at the moment I know that takes the epub format what will the kindle be, also I want to try and convert the rest of my books that I haven't read ready to use on the Kindle is it a complicated job. I have Calibre but it is not the latest version, so would like to know what I have to convert them to

Thanks

Welcome! We are unable to provide direct links on this topic, but just google 'Apprentice Alf's' blog and search on plug-ins for Calibre and follow the directions (I believe the latest tools version is v3.4). It is very straight forward. Once you have installed the proper plug-in, you have Calibre convert to the MOBI output.
Good Luck!

Hi Mollie. If your EPUB books are DRM free, you can just go ahead and use Calibre to convert them to MOBI format to read on your Kindle. If any of them are encrypted with DRM, though, you'd need to remove the DRM first before you can convert them, and that's where GoSharks' advice comes in.

Good luck!
