Inserting paragraph tags

Can I paste a text file (with some html tags) into Sigil and have it add the requisite <p> and </p> tags at the beginning and end of each paragraph?

I have in the past done this manually, but it is rather a chore.

Thanks!

It will close the tags for you, using html tidy. If the page is one of the prebuilt ones done with page split it will add most of the stuff you need. Give it a try and see if it does enough for you.

Close the tags, but not insert the <p> tag at the beginning of the paragraph?

Well, it's a start, certainly.

Instead of pasting in the text file, maybe just try loading it (as a file)?

It adds the paragraph tags when you do that (at least it does for me).
