IQ Video files on PB 701

Hi,

can you give me some advice how can I watch video files on my IQ.
Do I need a special player ?

No special player is needed if your video is MP4 or you have no problem with converting them to MP4. Of course, there is then the matter of the resolution and data rate; best results are with SD resolution and data rates of under 1000kbps.

There are several players that support DiVX and XVID.
I favor yxplayer as it lets you switch between native and full screen.

where can I download yxplayer for my PBIQ701 which cannot use the Android Market?

yes, but then I did not know about yxplayer and since I did not like SlideMe I removed it, LOL! I guess I will have to put it back :-)

went to the SlideMe site, downloaded the app - which was indicated as "free" - installed it, launched it and the first thing which 'greeted' me was a screen with a registration key to enter... felt like I was back on Windows again.

any idea why YXPlayer would play an AVI file all stuttery?

1- The bit rate and/or the resolution may be higher than the IQ can handle.
2- Try running the video at native resolution instead of full screen.
Also, check your running processes; under the unhacked firmware, the pocketbook widget runs several cpu-hogging processes. Killing them boosts IQ performance noticeably.
