Hi - Is there a quick way to manage tags by certain criteria?
What I would like to do is bulk remove any tags that only match 1 book (0r <5 etc.)

Many thanks
Alex

Tag Browser.
Set it to View by Popularity (below the tags).
Tag List is now ordered

And remember to put the setting back when you are done )

Thank you for that help with the view - that is very useful
I was hoping to be able to delete low usage tags - but it doesn't seem like that is possible as the manage tags option just gives a long list.
With this popularity view it makes it eaiser to go remove be hand though

Code:
tag:#<3
Putting this in the search box will give you all books that have only one or two tags.

But what you want is to remove tags that are only used x times isn't it?

You could do it like this.
Sort on usage
Tell calibre to find books for any of the criteria
Select first tag.
ctrl + click on some more tags you want to remove.

Select a book
ctrl + A (selects all books)
E (Edits all books)
remove label: (put the labels you selected here)

You could also do this with all your books selected and have a look at your 'Top x' of minor used tags

Yes - I am trying to limit the tags to make it easier to navigate a large library using calibretoodps or the content server.

This method will really speed things up - I didn't realise that once the tag is gone from all the books it leaves the tag database.
