Just got 903. Screen too grey...

Hi,

I just got my 903. I really like it apart one thing. The screen although is big is too grey/dark! Is there any way to make it lighter? (I mean the brightness of the screen).
It looks like a sipix screen (ok I have only seen a sipix screen in photos but how darker could it be? You wouldn 't be able to read!).

When I go to the Configuration->About device: it sais: E-ink parameters: default, if that can help in any way.

I m not sure if this is going to be eye strain free with such a dark screen. Anyway I haven't test it yet. But it looks much darker than eg. Sony 600 or 500 series.

Any ideas / comments / help?

Thanks

Athan

Sadly, I believe that's simply the state of the market. Sony are buying the whitest group of screens, as are Amazon. The only option for that category of screen with the 9.7" size, as far as I know, is the Kindle DX graphite gray.

PB903 screen is only a little bit darker than Kindle 3/DXG, that is the most clean and most contrast of all e-ink screens.

In other words, if PB903 screen is not for you, none e-ink ebook reader is for you. :-(
