sony ereaders
Hi! I have a sony PRS600. I find it awesome. If someone is thinking of buying one, just a note: I have had mine for over a year now and if I were to buy again I would look at the options available to what I need. In a year I have not used the MP3, note board or sketch board. Other than that I have never had any problems and would recommend Sony to anyone.

Yeah they are great readers I have heard a lot about them and what they can do, however my basic premise has always been that no electronic reader can be everything to all people and the same goes for the Sony PRS readers as well. Don't get me wrong they are great things but different electronic readers excel at different things, such as if someone told me that they like the idea of an electronic reader but were held back by the high price of the readers. I would not suggest the Sony PRS reader, the price tag would be too high, I would suggest an Libra Pro or a Jet Book - also great readers but cost a lot less then the sony readers, but lets be clear about one thing you get less from the readers that you pay less for.
If I was told that they liked the electronic reader but needed them to be really simple, I wouldn't suggest a Sony but a Kobo. So it really depends on the reader and what features and/or aspects mean the most to that person. |

Good to have your company, Timless. I agree that Sony is some of the best hardware out there. But their library software leaves a lot to be desired. I've used my Sony 505 with free Calibre library software for a couple of years now. They make a terrific team. Take a look at http://www.calibre-ebook.com. Best wishes. Neil
