Calibre connection error
Hello
When I try to fetch news while on mobile connection I get info that it canot be done until internet connection is available. Calibre is working fine with that connection for other action I require. It's not working even during sending an ebook to my Kindle account when program is using internet connection it's not recognizing it. Any sugestions?? |

Needs more info. What kind of connection? Does it work if you have a "non-mobile" connection? What OS? What Calibre version?

What is the text of the actual error message? Does it timeout? Does it complain that there is no active connection? Does it complain that it can't find the server?

Hm. I assume that the 3G works with other programs (as in you can actually surf the internet using it)? If not, you have a network problem. If you can use it with no problems, I suspect the problem is in the Windows API function Calibre uses to detect whether an internet connection is available or not. There is a brief discussion in this thread. This knowledge base article may be of some help, too.
