Anyway to have sideloaded pdf's read using bookviewer without rooting?

Because for bookmarked pdf's, quickoffice is...bad, in that it doesn't even see them. On the other hand, not generally being that technically inclined, I'm not too thrilled about potentially destroying my nook OS to just be able to run ONE new app. (Seriously, I know it's limited but other than the pdf fucntionality, I'm perfectly happy to wait for B&N to put out the app store).

So is there anyway-- anyway at all to get sideloaded pdf's to be opened by the utility that opens purchased ones?

No , If you don't root it you can't add any programs to it.

Unfortunately no one has figured out a solution for this issue for those of us with stock NC's. It is one of my top complaints. So far it seems only purchased PDFs with DRM will open in the book viewer.

Try loading the PDF into the Books directory instead of the Documents directory.
