Calibre from start to finish help please!

Hello. Big NooB here.

I have .lit files I wanted to convert and view on my CN. I found I was to download Calibre and did so from market place. It was a paid application.

I was not able to input an IP address it liked no matter what (8080)...

I then downloaded free Calibre on my Windows PC.

Does anyone have a beginning to end guide on how to get this thing going on the CN PLEASE?

Would really appreciate it. Thank you.

I am fully aware this issue is as usual user error!

The creator of Calibre made a nice tutorial/intro that you might find helpful. In it he is using an earlier version of the software, but the interface isn't hugely changed.

The software on your PC is what you need for this. No idea what that paid application thing you got is.

There is no official paid version of calibre. That doesn't mean 3rd parties are not taking and selling it. There is also no official version in the Android market place. There is no Android version at all.

You probably downloaded some helper app that's supposed to make interfacing with calibre easier. As ivers said, the PC app is all you need.

At midnight last night, I think I figured out I paid for something from the market place I didn't need. I downloaded Calibre on my laptop and changed format from .lit to ePUB and moved them to CN. All is fine. I added each one to Alkido. I wonder what this calibre on my CN is and should I delete it?

I wouldn't use any version not downloaded from the 'offical' site.
