The Key to Magic is the world spanning saga of a young man, Mar, born to an age where magic is a mathematical science. In ths world, all technology -- communications, transport, military -- is the result of magical experientation. In this world, magical ability is a genetic trait whose incredible power is available to almost every human being.

The disasterous consequences of a globe annihilating conflict hurl him as an infant into a mundane future where magic is no more than a despised fanatical religion. In order to escape a destiny that magicians long dead have written for him, he must learn to use the genetic abilities that make him the last true master of magic

Orphan is also availble through the iBook store. The novel can, of course, be read on any PC or Mac. Both Kindle and Nook software is available as a free download from their respective vendors.

I have already converted it to epub at LuLu.

Which particular format are you looking for?

Epub is good. I got an (OK, several!) ebook reader because I don't want to be tied to reading on my computer. Do you have a link to it on LuLu?

I'm new to the ebook game, so it may take some time to get it out in the types of formats that people want to see.

You can read the sample chapters on Amazon for free. The Kindle software is a free download to a PC or a Mac.

Hi, everyone!

There have been delays in proofing the print version of Orphan, so it may not appear until the first of the year.

The second book in this series, Magician, is almost done and will be available on Amazon by Jan 1 and at B & N and the iBookstore shortly thereafter.

As a holiday promotion, the price of Orphan for the Kindle has been reduced to .99 (.72).

As always, sample chapters are available at Amazon for free!

Orphan has been available on Smashwords for a few days, though in limited formats. The price there is still $2.99.

I'm still trying to sort out how their conversion process works. The text versions are unsuitable and are not available.

The book is also available (not on sale) at Lulu and the iBookstore.

Well, since you asked, I selected the .epub version and took a look at it.

The conversion seems to have inserted some multiple letters in one spot. I have uploaded a new version to see if that will correct the problem.

It will probably be through the queue later today.

And I've put it on sale as well.

The sample is 30%, so have a look!

Thanks to those who bought Orphan while it was on sale!

I've returned the book everywhere to the normal price although I might organize another sale sometime next year.

The print version of the book is now up on Amazon US. It's a little pricey compared with the ebook, but that's the nature of the media.

The cover for the second book, Magician, is almost done and I am doing final polishing on the manuscript. I believe everything is in line for it to be out Jan. 1 as scheduled.

I'm happy with the texture of the story in the second book and have added several new characters that add extra dimension to the narrative.
