Whispernet.com accessed my mail from US: Is this normal?
Hi there
I'm a recent kindle owner and I own the 3G version from Canada. Today I tried to log in my facebook va kindle and it say someone was trying to access my facebook with a mobile device from Seattle WA when I was asleep. Fast forward couple of hours and I tried to access my mail from laptop and got this message- Quote:
*I've changed Items in bold Why is whispernet.com (is this even a legit website maintained by Amazon?) trying to access my info? And was this website responsible for trying to access my facebook page?? Should I be worried? Thanks for any info... |

I would contact Amazon and speak to the Kindle CS.

When using 3G everything goes through Amazon proxies so it'd appear that you're coming from Amazon. As for why you're seeing it during times when you're not using the Kindle, I've no idea.
whispernet.com does appear to be owned by Amazon at least from the whois data. Quote:

Without knowing what software actually created that log (I assume what you quoted was a log file of some kind), it's pretty hard to tell what might - or might not - be going on here. Some specific info might be helpful, but I'd suggest calling Customer Service as others have mentioned. |
