Getting To Know You
Or is it, you're getting to know me? Ok, I'll go first. I'm Bob, 62, single white male. I'm about to retire rather than starve to death. Living on Social Security in a 13.5' x 13.5' studio apartment. Because of the 8 months of rain in the Pacific Northwest winters I read a lot. I've been using Kindle for PC until my recent purchase of a Kindle 3 Wi-Fi. I can already tell I'm going to love this little guy.

I am kind of a newbie myself. Mobileread is a really great place to get info, advise, even shoot the breeze. Haven't had my kindle long but I have to say I LOVE my Kindle 3!!

I agree the Kindle is an excellent little gadget but the kindle sells for a premium price and make sure that you use what you get for that premium price:

1) Ability to take notes in the margins
2) On board dictionaries
3) Ability to put your name in the unit and customize the unit.

Otherwise you might have well bought a cheaper unit like the Libra Pro, but you wouldn't have those extras.
