Text Colour In Comments Box 7.40

Before 7.40, When copying text from a website and pasting into the comments box in the edit metadata information, it would show up but since going to 7.40 if I do this action the text is there but does not show, the text seems to be in white which with a white background will not show, the background colour is set to white and the foreground colour is set to black, if I paste into all the other boxes, I don't get this problem, I have to paste it into Notepad++ then copy & paste again for it to show, do I have my settings wrong?

Does the website you are pasting from have text in white?

Yes, That's what I thought the problem was at first but it only happens in the comments box, if I paste into any other boxes in metadata information, I don't get any problem and all text is black, just seems to be the comments area retaining the text colour from the website.

That is because the comments box NOW allows styling, which the other fields do not.
Look for the color=<stuff> in the line and either remove that whole section or set <stuff> to: black or #000000

Where is this, is this in preferences, can't find it

You can also click in the Comments box, select all (Cmd-A on OSX), then click the recycle button to remove formatting.

In each comments box (HTML Source tab at the bottom). Every comment can have its own style (in addition to that used in the catalog)

Just delete the red part to get the system default (usually black)
or change EACH of the 255's to 000

Thanks for that but it's easier going GRikers way, would be better if I could set his way as default
