Anouncement of a new OpenPeak pad

CES International 2011 marked the announcement of a new OpenPeak pad, OpenTablet 10 based on Intel Moorestown. The company’s previous Moorestown-based pad, OpenTablet 7, was announced last spring but isn’t expected to be released until the first quarter of this year.
The main difference of the two pads is OpenTablet 10’s larger screen. It’s a 10,1” capacitive transflective liquid crystal display, suitable both for indoors and outdoors. The screen is protected from scratches by Corning Gorilla glass that enables the multi-touch function. Data can also be entered with an electrostatic stylus.
OpenTablet 10 is expected to have the following technical parameters:
5-mpx rear camera
frontal web-camera camera for video communication
3G modem (optional)
Wi-Fi adapters Wi-Fi a/b/g/n and Bluetooth 2.1+EDR
HDMI-socket for transmitting videos (1080p HD) to external devices
USB 2.0 interface through a microUSB socket
microSD slot
Android OS.
OpenTablet 10 is 13,4 mm wide. The price and release date haven’t yet been announced.
