I want to buy an Aluratek "Libre" e-book reader. As I am a novice at all things electronic does anyone know if it is compatible with Calibre?

If the device is recognised as a usb disc on your computer, then (from Calibre manual) quote : using the Save to disk function you can use it with any ebook reader that exports itself as a USB disk.
