Howdy,

I just registered and thought I'd try a post. I've been reading this forum for several weeks after receiving a Sony PRS 650 as an early xmas present from my wife. Previous posts have been invaluable thus far. I'm already on my fourth ebook and just downloaded a short story from mobileread.

We've since gifted a Kindle3 to both of our mothers and will be sending them this way for more info.

I'm looking forward to learning more about Calibre on this forum. Thanks again!

Hi Mom! Believe it or not but I think I actually downloaded a book from the Mobileread library here before I actually registered. I think you just click onto the ebooks link at the top center of this page. For your Kindle you choose "mobipocket," I think, and then search for authors alphabetically to see what they have available. Then you download it to your library software by clicking onto the link. But since you have the new Kindle3 I believe there is a way to download an app to the Kindle3 that allows you to skip needing to use your computer for downloading books from mobileread. Maybe someone here can walk you through the process or give a link to a previous thread that discusses this stuff.
